Multilines International Runs at the Absa KH3 7 Hills Run for Girl-Child Education

The Multilines International team laced up their running shoes and hit the pavement this past Sunday, March 17th, for the Absa KH3 7 Hills Run! This inspiring event, which covers the seven iconic hills of Kampala, raises funds to support girl-child education in Uganda.

“We were excited to be a part of this well-organized event with a fantastic turnout,” said Gerald Mukyenga, Group CEO of Multilines International Group. “It provided a great opportunity to network with fellow runners while supporting a cause we deeply care about – ensuring all girls in Uganda have access to education.”

Multilines CEO Conquers All Seven Hills

Leading the charge for Multilines was our very own CEO, Gerald Mukyenga! Mr. Mukyenga demonstrated incredible determination by completing the entire 21km course, conquering all seven hills. “It was a challenging but rewarding experience,” said Mr. Mukyenga. “Knowing that our participation is helping girls get the education they deserve made every step worthwhile.”

Multilines and MUBS Launch Partnership to Empower Students and Elevate Ugandan Logistics Industry.

On May 23rd, 2024, at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Nakawa, Uganda, Multilines International Limited and MUBS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing a strategic partnership to empower MUBS students, elevate the Ugandan logistics sector, and propel Multilines’ research and development (R&D) program.

This critical partnership will be achieved through a multifaceted approach, including:

  • Work placement Opportunities: MUBS students and faculty will gain invaluable hands-on experience through work placement internships, graduate trainee opportunities, and open days at Multilines. These will provide them with firsthand exposure to real-world logistics operations to complement their academic studies.
  • Active participation by Industry Experts: Multilines’ logistics specialists will play a part in the curriculum development, share their expertise in guest lectures, and trainings. This will enrich the study experience by incorporating practical industry knowledge alongside theoretical foundations.
  • Mentorship Program: MUBS students will be connected with experienced Multilines professionals who will provide guidance and support on their academic journey. This mentorship program will be instrumental in shaping their career development.
  • Joint Research Projects: Students and faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate with Multilines’ R&D team on industry-relevant research projects. This will allow them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, fostering innovation within the logistics sector.
  • Knowledge Exchange Programs: Regular knowledge exchange programs will be established to foster continuous learning and collaboration. This will ensure both institutions remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving logistics landscape.

The MOU signing ceremony at MUBS marked a significant step forward in this exciting collaboration. We are confident that this partnership will have a transformative impact on MUBS students, the Ugandan logistics industry, and Multilines’ R&D program. We look forward to working together with MUBS to cultivate the next generation of logistics leaders and shape a brighter future for Uganda’s logistics sector.
